This Is Us

There was a time when he knew exactly who he was—a soldier, a leader, a warrior with a mission. For 20 years, he served as a 13B Field Artilleryman in the U.S. Army, standing proud beside his brothers-in-arms. He deployed across the world, driven by duty, loyalty, and a deep love for his country.

But when the uniform came off, everything changed. The mission ended, but the battle within had just begun. The structure, the camaraderie, the purpose—it all felt lost. In the silence of civilian life, he searched for meaning, connection, and a place to belong.

Lost, but not broken.

In the quiet hours of the morning, he found comfort in a simple ritual: a hot cup of coffee. It became a moment of peace, reflection, and slowly—healing. That’s when an old dream resurfaced. One he shared with his father. They had always talked about opening a little spot called The Donut Nook—a cozy place for people to gather, share stories, and find comfort in the simple things.

That dream became a new mission.

Lost Soldier’s Coffee House featuring Purdee’s Italian Ice was born out of service, connection, and the belief that no one should ever feel alone after their service ends. The name honors not just the fallen, but those still finding their way—those who feel adrift after leaving the military life behind.

This is more than a coffee shop. It’s a rally point—a bridge between military and civilian worlds. It’s a space built on the same values that guided our founder in uniform: brotherhood, respect, and selfless service.

And if you’re still figuring it all out, still finding your footing—we want you to know: We got your six.

Whether you're a Veteran, a military family member, or someone who just appreciates a good cup of coffee or Italian ice, this place is for you. With open hearts, kind smiles, and strong coffee, we’re here for the ones who served—and the ones still searching.

This is our story.

And if you’ve ever felt lost, this is your home, too.
